Each time I commit the edmx Model comparer the project file gets checked out (if not allready checked out), though no changes are made. I guess this is because it wants to add the namePrefs and compareOtions to the project, but they are already added.
Can this be suppressed?

Thanks for reporting. I am changing it to only touch the project file if necessary as of ver 2.11 (next release).

The interactions with the project file should be reduced as of the latest release ( v 2.11, released today ). Please let me know if that solves this issue for you.
