I try to use Model Comparer feature with Mysql .net connector provider. I set connection string and test connection - it's ok. But then Model Comparer says it can't connect to database and suggests me to enter connection string again. It looks like it tries to use SQL Service provider...

Hi,
At the moment only SQL Server ( 2008, 2008R2, Azure, 2005, 2000 ) is supported. Support for other RDBMSes is planned for a future release.
Best regards, Kristofer

Kristofer, that should probably be noted on the product page. I bought the product specifically because it says it has support for ADO.NET Entity Framework models. It isn't mentioned that only SQL Server is supported. We use Sybase SQL Anywhere and the features in the Model Comparer is what sold me on purchasing the product. When will support for 'other RDBMSes' be available?

Hi Dan,
Sorry, availability/release date of support for SQL Anywhere hasn't been decided yet.
If you want a refund, please send an email to support@huagati.com and mention the paypal transaction ID or the email address that was used for the paypal transaction.
Best regards, Kristofer

That's OK Kristofer. I've been using the product for the last couple of years with a license from Roger Jennings book. I figure it's time to actually give some money to the folks that actually created the tool.
I'll be looking forward to SQL Anywhere support being added.
Thanks for the reply.
